A November Quickie

I’ve been so busy lately, but not all stitching, so wanted to get a quick post in to show a couple of things that have gotten done since my last update. I did finally get out to San Diego in October – it was a good trip, once I got done working each day. Don’t think I could ever live out there, though, but it’s a nice place to visit.’

As for stitching, I did finish Part 5 of Desert Mandala – took a while, since I had a week on the other side of the country thrown in there. LOVE the Desert Hare and his all-beaded butterfly companion:

I put this up and went to Ye Olde Project Randomizer to pull out the next in line:

I don’t have progress pictures to show yet, as I put this down to concentrate on getting Christmas exchanges done, which I can’t show yet, obviously. I did get them done, so look for that next post. I also do not have a picture of the awesome Halloween exchange I received from Jay – I thought I  had taken a picture, but if I did, I can’t find it, and I put the Halloween stitching up already; I promise I will get it back out and take a picture and post next time. I can post the one I made – it’s a Chatelaine, surprise:)

I also finished up a couple more JBW autumn pieces, these using my Sleepy Hollow thread collection from Victorian Motto Sampler Shoppe:

Those are the highlights from the last several weeks. I will be getting as much stitching in as I can over the next few weeks, in between all the other things going on here; the holidays will be fast upon us. Fortunately, the weather, while dry as a bone and back to drought mode, has been wonderful, still warm; I’m still pulling stuff out of the garden, waiting for the last of the peppers to get done, hopefully before we have a killing frost. The boys are also supposed to be able to come home over the holidays for a bit; they are missed 🙂 Until next time, Happy Stitching, and in case I don’t post again before the holidays officially arrive, Happy Holidays!

  1. You got a pretty good amount of stitching done! As for SD, my son and his GF were there in August. Son wants to move there ASAP (but he’s 23).

  2. I love the detail on Desert Mandala and you’re right, the hare and butterfly are gorgeous. The Chat scarecrow is so cute and I love the purples on him. I can’t wait to see your progress on L&U.
